Born in Memphis Tenn., Ursula Adams inherited her great grand mother's love of good food, her mother's business savvy and her restaurateur father's expertise in food preparation and management. At the tender age of fourteen, she moved the sprawling metropolis of New York City where she was to have her first experience with island cuisine, which soon became her first love. Her first visit to Jamaica solidified her desire to bring those in the United States true authentic Jamaican cuisine which she learned how to prepare through her many visits back to Jamaica.
